Welcome Gleb Ebert to the von Mentzer Lab

I am excited to welcome Gleb Ebert to the von Mentzer Lab as a postdoctoral researcher.

Gleb Ebert

Gleb joins us from ETH Zürich, where he worked on computational approaches for identifying bacterial virulence factors.

His research in the lab focuses on developing data-driven and high-throughput methods to identify virulence factors, beginning with the highly diverse colonisation factors of enterotoxigenic Escherichia coli (ETEC). By combining comparative genomics, bioinformatics, and machine learning, the project aims to improve our ability to detect and classify virulence-associated genes at scale.

We are excited to have Gleb join the team and look forward to the new methods and discoveries his work will bring.

Welcome to the lab, Gleb!
