Welcome Marlene Grimmer to the von Mentzer Lab

I am very happy to welcome Marlene Grimmer as the first PhD student in the von Mentzer Lab!

Marlene joins the group as a doctoral student at the Department of Microbiology and Immunology, University of Gothenburg.

Her PhD project focuses on enterotoxigenic Escherichia coli (ETEC), with a special interest in emerging colonisation factors. By combining computational and experimental approaches, Marlene will study how these important virulence factors evolve, spread, and contribute to bacterial adaptation and disease.

We are excited to have Marlene on board and look forward to following her research over the coming years.
